GameStop is looking for a unique individual who can help accelerate the future of gaming and commerce. In this future, games are the places to go, and play is driven by the things you bring. Future creators won’t just build games but also the components, characters, and equipment. Blockchains will power the commerce underneath.  An ideal candidate will have experience across several domains in gaming, content creation, partnerships, game design/development/mechanics, and a general understanding and experience with Ethereum, NFTs, and blockchain based gaming platforms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand what our gaming partners are trying to achieve and how NFTs can be a key business driver
  • Drive GameStop’s future growth engine by building relationships with the newest, and largest game publishers in the world
  • Build a team to help creators launch their projects on the GameStop platform
  • Contribute to team projects to develop and refine our processes and vision for the future
  • Build deep relationships with executive stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Develop strategic plans for your target accounts and identify required supporting resources
  • Research and stay abreast of all new NFT/crypto projects and global gaming brands signaling interest in the space
  • Understand and lead integrations with different blockchains and Ethereum Layer 2 environments

Job Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years in the gaming industry in Corp Dev, BD/Partnerships, Strategy roles OR in a sales role selling to C-level decision-makers across top 50 global game publishers
  • Experience working in the blockchain/crypto space, especially with Ethereum and NFTs, or demonstrates domain knowledge and expertise
  • Proven record of delivering visionary new products
  • Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving custom commercial agreements
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take accountability for achieving metrics
  • Strong industry knowledge from experience working with large game publishers or selling to gaming companies

Nice to Have:

  • Experience building and launching a technical product
  • An industry thought leader
