Chief of Staff, Metaverse (NFT)

THE ROLE

The Chief of Staff advises and supports the Metaverse (NFT) Business Line, acting as a lead strategic partner and project manager according to the General Manager’s agenda, strategy, and direction. You will act as a critical link between the GM and cross-disciplinary senior leaders involved in a broad range of critical activities, ranging from highly strategic to tactical, and play a role in helping the organization achieve critical goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning

  • Provide oversight of the Metaverse and all NFTs: liaising with Heads of Departments and Heads of Sales within the division to provide oversight of the business targets, budget, and initiatives
  • In conjunction with the General Manager and Business Director, assist with the planning of the annual financial targets, strategic plans and division performance  
  • Support the implementation of new and innovative sales strategies for each department to deliver specific financial results

Business Operations

  • Liaise between the General Manager, Specialists and Business Leads (key stakeholders) across Legal, Tax, Compliance and Product & Technology
  • Project manage the development and implementation of new or re-engineered processes to improve operating effectiveness
  • Partner with Heads of Department to support key private sales and auction opportunities 
  • Provide complete management of deals for the full lifecycle of a transaction from incubation and sourcing to sale and collection
  • Triage and alert the GM and other senior leaders to potentially problematic issues involving internal or external constituencies
  • Maintain sale calendar and programming for all exhibitions (including but not limited to local pre-sale exhibitions as well as traveling exhibitions)
  • Execute Marketing and Communications to ensure smooth execution of sale marketing campaigns, including editorial, digital campaigns, and website content
  • Identify and implement systems to ensure the timely flow of necessary data across relevant departments, direct reports and key external organizations
  • Drive and monitor the delivery of all projects on behalf of the GM
  • Monitor the flow of information and people directed toward the GM

People Management

  • Ensure enhanced communication across the division and with relevant business support departments
  • Drive management related activities including performance management, goal setting, performance reviews, and compensation planning processes

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • 7+ years of professional experience in a Chief of Staff, Business strategy or Business Operations role preferred
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to drive, multiple high profile and complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong business and financial acumen to present issues clearly and concisely
  • Creative problem solver able to deal with change in a proactive and positive manner.
  • Superior communication skills, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion
  • Possession of strong interactive skills in order to foster team initiatives and mitigate conflict
